If you wish accreditation for the Skagen Festival 2012 please send an application on official letterhead signed by the superior responsible person. Application can also be sent by mail from an official mail address. 

Remember your presscard number in the application.

Skagen Festival reserves the right to check all information.

Consideration of applications
.
Accreditation applications are considered continuosly.

Maximum 2 persons from the same media will be given a free pass (particular agreements may be made).

Accreditations are not sent to private addresses.

If you are a freelance journalist/photographer you must state which media and editor you have made an agreement with.

When accreditation is given.
Each person will receive an admission card. The admission card is valid as a ticket for the festival. Remember to bring photo ID at the check-in – otherwise your bracelet/pass will not be handed over.

Everyone who obtains accreditation for 2012 must at the latest by October 1st give in a copy of written or recorded material based on the accreditation for Skagen festival 2012.
If we don't receive the material before this date you may not expect accreditation for 2013.

In 2012 Skagen Festival takes place for the 42nd time.

Skagen Festival started in 1971 and that makes it the oldest festival in Denmark.· For many years the festival took place during the last weekend of June and was called Skagen Visefestival, but changed its name in 1989 to Skagen Festival.
In 2007· Skagen Festival moved its dates to the first week of July due to the change of the school summer holiday.

Music profile.
Skagen Festival is an international folk music festival, which over the years has adapted to the exciting development of the genre. Today we present all kinds of folk music such as folk, folk/rock, jazz, ballads, singer/songwriting, cajun, blues and much more.

Tickets.
You have to buy a ticket for each concert night. We do not have a pass for the whole festival as you may know it from other festivals.

Staff members.
This year we expect around 650 staff members in Skagen Festival. Everybody works as volunteers, i.e unpaid.

It´s good to see you.
– the slogan of the festival and the title of a song by singer and compocomposer Allan Taylor (in 1978). The song was immortalised in Skagen by Alex CampbCampbell.
It is impossible to attend the Skagen Festival without getting to know this beautil beautiful song.

Arrival and check-in.
The press checks in at Skagen Kultur og Fritidscenter, entrance from Chr. X’s Vej opposite Aldi.

With an accreditation to Skagen Festival you will receive a festival bracelet which combined with press card/accreditaion card give access to all concerts. In a venue with numbered seats you cannot occupy a seat.

Camping for Pressen.
Skagen Festival does not have a separate camping area for media people.
